its astounding sites of holiness.
One is the Ganapati Temple,
a 400-year old temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Ganesha.
Pune is known all throughout for various national
festivals and cultural events, such as the Ganapati Festival,
which is interchangeable with the month-long Pune Festival.
Every December, Pune hosts the Sawai Gandharva
Music Festival.
