Mysore is a metropolis in the
Indian state of Karnataka. It is the administrative seat
of Mysore Dsitrict, which is the second largest district
in Karnataka and Mysore Division. It is 135 kilometers
from Bangalore, Karnataka's capital.
The city is known
for its palaces and proximity to various attractions. Aside
from Sandalwood products and crafts, Mysore is also known
for its observance of the Navatari festival held every
year.
Mysore won't be called the City of Palaces without
mentioning some of these architectures. Some of the prominent
palaces are the Amba Vilas, Rajendra Vilas and Jaganmohana
Palace. These architectures exhibit a mixture of architectural
styles from Dravidian, Roman, and Oriental influences. |
